What context? The context was a bourgeois politician standing in front of a room full of donors reassuring them that he's got their back. That's obvious to everyone, including the wealthy donors he was reassuring.

It all ended with a question about how it would last past the end of the year. Good to know that child poverty only exists for the one year where you need to pass pandemic relief bills
