It’s completely possible to ethically produce eggs

enslaving sentient beings is ok when I can profit from it

It's easy to say that a relationship you profit from is symbiotic, but you can't ask the chicken.

the reason why hens shit out an egg a day is because they've been bred to hell and back. Wild hens lay 20 eggs a year. They'd also eat the unfertilised ones to replenish the calcium they lose producing them, which they can't if you take them away.

Are you abstaining from eggs until communism is achieved?

Let the species go extinct because literally any relationship with humans, no matter how well treated they are, is literal slavery?

How about you keep them as pets, without taking anything from them? Or do you only want them for their eggs?

                animal ownership is slavery

Animal ownership is slavery, taking care of animals without owning them and stealing the fruits of their labour is not. Is that really that hard to understand for a supposed leftist?

As I said, if you don't take their eggs they eat them, don't lose as much calcium and suffer from deficiencies much less.

When my family raised free-range chickens for eggs we made sure to feed them calcium supplements.

yes, we take good care of our slaves, we're really good owners. We do it for the chickens, definitely not so we can profit from their bodies longer

Mutually symbiotic relationship. They didn't die from wild coyotes, slaughterhouses, or calcium deficiency, as they would have under any other circumstance in this country. Instead they died from natural causes after being pampered their whole lives. It's very wise and cool to compare this to chattel slavery. Dogs and cats are slaves by this goddamn standard.

Wow, you're really showing how much you care about the chicken, not the eggs they give you

because a non-vegan saying they care about animals is always either hypocritical or purely performative. Why do you only sometimes care about consent?

You don't see the difference between taking car of an animal who needs you to survive and keeping an animal because you profit from their existence? Would you have chickens if not for eggs?

Well yeah, consent matters to me, but as we've established that you don't care about "CoNsEnT" I wanted to know if your concern for the chickens well-being was entirely self-serving, which it seems to be. It's really enlightening how supposed leftists sound like a chud the minute you criticise their actions in regards to veganism.

I don't think breeding more pets is something we should do, but equating that with the complete commodification of non-human animals and their bodies shows how far up your own ass you are to try to own the vegans
