This is actually quite good; addresses the western left's obsession with purity and martyrdom without producing a single useful result.

You would not like an ML Quixote, I think. Comrade Quixote would do something like invent a fictional perfect vanguard party to swear his devotion to at every opportunity, going on about it's virtues in a satire of communist literature (As Dolcinea is a mockery of chivalric poetry), out of a flawed and mistaken belief that a vanguard party is required to be a communist.
He would decry the wickedness of people who represent the left but fail to adhere to their stated values and proclaim those they deride men of true virtue.
He would serve as both a highlight of the inherent ridiculousness of pursuing Marxism in modern society and the nobility of true belief in a cause.
    :thonk:
Actually it could work. But it wouldn't be flattering to communists.

Edit: also he would be the only communist character ever where a central flaw is reading too much theory.

Imagine being so radioactively wrong that random people online are still dunking on you more than 80 years after you die. :walter-shock:

:rosa: Eh, it could be worse. You could be the SPD and still be as radioactively wrong in exactly the same way as you were 100 years ago.
