Yeah, the left would totally be owned and absolutely change their mind about the checks notes murders, if Kyle was trans.

not the left, the "post left meltdown over people not falling over themselves to support Kyle Rittenhouse" which is definitely not anyone I'd call left

The Candace Owens route. Find your intersectionity to be right wing about.

But all the good spots were taken so they have to become the most doublethinkers possible.

They usually lean towards Marxist economics, but they lean so hard on hating liberals/democrats that they just become Republicans.

They are usually leftists that make a right turn, so they arrive at their fascism by an unusual pathway.

Actual post-left is typically anarchist, and it doesn't really abandon progressive poltics - it merely gives up on the idea of "the left" as it were actually succeeding in achieving communism, and so instead directs the efforts of anarchists towards doing anarchism in the moment, in what few areas it can exist under capitalism, and just ride out the shitshow as long as possible. Basically how we treat electoral politics, they treat the left - maybe good intentioned but ultimately a waste of time and resources put towards a false promise of change when it could be better used to more immediately support the material needs of those around us.

No fucking idea what everyone else, including Peter Coffin, is going the fuck on about. Post-left shit would cover shit like anti-civ, egoism, etc. They might ask you to go read Desert and needle the shit out of Bookchinites, but they'd just as soon kill a patsoc if they couold get away with it. What Peter Coffin and company is doing is just third positionism, possibly re-branding it on purpose; Peter Coffin has actually read some theory so I find it hard to believe he's genuinly ignorant of what post-leftists generally subscribe to, it seems more like the right trying to steal the vocabulary of the left again. Sorta like how patsoc is literally just rebranded natsoc.

Can someone please explain what the deal is with Peter Coffin? I've found myself enjoying a lot of their content, but wondering why the hell they'd have Caleb Maupin on. So I don't even know.

Vaguely anarchist-y, but a class reductionist. Was mad about contra getting cancelled, etc. They're in Maupin's general sphere.

Before they were a "breadtuber" they were a failed comedian that told edgy racist jokes, and got mocked online for making up a fake girlfriend that they used to say their racist jokes to make them seem more OK while they harassed some model or whatever. They worked for Ian Miles Cheong without folk really noticing for a while. Has always been super fixated on "cancel culture" as this bad thing, and so they end up sympathetic to "cancelled" right wing figures. Like trying to platform fucking Milo Yiannopolis, well after he'd faded into obscurity and a successful no platform campaign.

If you didn't catch it, they've also got a patsoc twitter avatar. Their whole deal is putting out videos that do contain actual theory and then doing this nonsense - and given they've been shady about their dealings with Cheong, I would actually be unsurprised if they were legit taking money from some right-wing group to try to capture some of rising labor militancy over the past few years and direct it back towards conservative politics.

I dunno, not that it matters but I think they really did just have a terrible internet girlfriend that got tired of them and ghosted them. They seem to simply not be a good romantic partner which I probably worse than sockpuppeting.

I suppose that one of the beautiful disasters of leftism is that we follow ideas and not individuals, so we end up with some weird, messed-up people whom we respect because they still express ideas that are consistent with reality. But there comes a point where someone is plainly not living by the ideas they're supposed to be espousing, and you can't geel good about giving them support or attention.

Sounds like they just followed a path that opened up, in the form of leftism, in order to get Internet Famous. They sound intelligent, and I don't doubt that they believe in this stuffy, but it sounds like they're knee-deep in ideology. Oh well. Thanks for the insight.

They identified as such in their videos a while back. If they've since changed what they're calling themselves, that's certainly possible, I know I stopped paying attention to them once they started putting out videos about cancellation and whatnot.

They were always mediocre but through the power of being a middle aged white guy with a beautiful wife he was one of the higest paid breadtubers for a while. Their stuff was fine. Better theory than thoughtslime but worse writing. Just powerfully mediocrity.

Also that wife, that he seems to have groomed as a minor, who was an absolute godess. She left them and seems to have created a happy polycule with nice people and avoids internet drama now.

Coffen lost it realizing they, he at the time, will never do better. Went through a dark shitposting phase.

After they got better they came out as non-binary and no one seemed to care. Since then they always get bitter when a breadtuber comes out and people support them.

You mean Ashleigh? She's fookin hilarious, but if she'd rather stay out of sight after all that shit then I can't blame her.

Thanks for clearing that up. It's starting to make more sense now.
