This work of art represents the economic crisis that ravaged Argentina during the closing stages of the XIX Century. It shows a disgruntled worker with a clenched fist observing the police attack a group of people near two factories, most likely strikers, while his tools remain unused in the table. The woman, perhaps his wife, continues to feed her child despite her evident physical weakness and fatigue.

This iconic work perfectly encapsulates the dire situation many workers were in by the late XIX century, situation that wasn't unique only to this country. The piece can be observed in the Museo de Bellas Artes in the city of Buenos Aires.
