Do you run a clothesline over your bathtub? How do you hang dry when it's not summer?
Right on. Do you reckon that tub washing and machine drying a 20 pounder would be alright, or you think at that weight, air drying would be best?
My weighted blanket has an outer part that you wash by itself. Maybe yours does, as well.
Live in an apt with a coin op machine, reckon I might just tub wash/air dry.
I thought it was cause it is filled with something like glass beads so anything that can catch it could tear and destroy it.
hmm I'd say weight-wise just make sure the blanket isn't over 20lbs for a normal washing machine and it should be fine? for drying it may be smarter to hang dry if you're worried about the dryer, but yeah my blanket from sensacalm is 16lbs and it washed & dried perfectly with no issues. good luck! .
It should be 20lbs exactly, so reckon that might not be the best idea. Thanks though!
That sounds like the play. No instructions on the tags or anything.
I don't have a tub. I have a shower with a big fat fuckin bottom part that used to be a bathtub.
my cat puked all over my weighted blanket a few months ago. I just ran a hot bath, got some heavy cleaning soap (for like carpet, usually what I use for cat puke) and a scrubber brush and scrubbed it off in the bath a couple times until it looked clean. Tried not to wet the parts that didn't need it because it would take longer to dry. Hanged it over some chairs on the balcony to dry off in a few days.
Some washing machines have a hand wash cycle and you can also set it to a no spin cycle. It'll be heavy as shit and full of water when you take it out to hang dry so have a bucket or tub ready for it
Ah well. Hand wash in tub and hang dry on a warm and sunny day it is then. Good luck
