Lowkey reminds me of I Am Cuba, Puerto Rico is undergoing massive shock therapy and with it an unprecedented process of neoliberalization. Its energy grid got privatized and this has led to massive power outages (thus the title of the song: El Apagón, literally means outage). In addition there's an ongoing process of gentrification obliterating PR's social texture due to tax breaks to foreign capital which has found promising returns on PR. It's a banger, but it makes me feel really crappy.
