I'm glad that I'm not the only one who thought Glee was fucking awful in its portrayal of gay people. I felt like I was going crazy because so many people around me at the time were hailing it as a triumph of gay representation.

Imagine being in high school while Glee was on the air and all the kids processing the fact that not all gay men are Kurt Hummel with wonderful highlights like
"You not really gay"
"Do you tell people that so girls can get close to you
"I didn't know Mexicans could be gay"
And the perennial favorite: "You don't act gay"
Like I pour my heart out to y'all and y'all interrogate me on my sexuality
