    also, this has been commonplace for a while. i had the same thing applied to me when i was arrested in college for protesting against university budget cuts.

    Judge doesn't care if it's overturned, he just wants them silenced now. It's likely that the arrestees were identified as leaders. That's how you decapitate a movement, simple. Tried and tested over centuries.

    They're not rights. They're temporary privileges. If they really want to see them revoked, they will have no trouble in doing so.
