It's the most profitable design so it must be okay. It's the children who should conform to the needs of the market, not vice-versa.

Everyone predicting that they would legislate front facing drive cameras is about to be right, assuming that Congress doesn't take the even more ghoulish option of just doing nothing and saying that child deaths are good and a necessary sacrifice to ensure truck-related freedoms

They already have stuff like 360 camera and front automatic braking. Still wouldn't save pedestrians if the vehicle is traveling at a speed. Also, where is the safety worry about their headlights blinding everyone on the road?

How about restricting the size of planet-burning overcompensation devices?

NOOOO THAT WOULD BE TURBO COMMUNISM :frothingfash:

Threadly reminder that pop-up headlights had to die in the name of pedestrian safety, but some dumbass pickup truck can blind every other driver on the road with a 7 foot tall grille guaranteed to annihilate pedestrians and that's ok.

I remember when the stereotype for Porsche owners was that they're compensating for a small penis. Boggles my mind that the same thing isn't applied to the men who insist on driving these monstrosities to their office job.
