Meh. I can see folks calling him a Lib. But those last posts seemed to simply boil down to arguments over the degree to which drafted civilians were responsible for the atrocities of the Vietnam war.
Because its a guy with a chip on their shoulder, the comments came off hot and heavy. But the content was no more "reactionary" than any other struggle session I've read on this board a thousand times.

You can search their username in the modlog and pull up the argument that got them banned. Basically as the OP said they were defending the German Army in WW2, and conscripts who fight in unjust wars generally.
People on Twitter keep unironically asking what parts of Ukraine Russia should get to keep and I don't engage but I really want to say "Maybe the 30% of the country where the majority of the population is ethnic Russians?

I strongly dislike the notion that "International Law" is a meaningful thing. It's always been might makes right and international law is a barely disguised cudgel for powerful nations to use against the less powerful. There's no such thing as "legal" or "illegal" territory. If you can defend it and collect taxes it's yours regardless of what anyone else says, and if they have a problem their only recourse is economic or military warfare to force you out of the territory.
I still fondly remember all the times he royally pissed off the entire GTAO sub after becoming a mod on it, just managing to set off the absolute dumbest manchildren with the most innocuous shit possible. He was like Icarus, posting too close to a sun made entirely out of irony until all the corn in his cob got popped.

Yeah we do a reading group, doing the Jakarta Method now and did State and Rev before that and the people have pretty good takes all around, of course there’s always a couple libs joining but its overall pretty good politics. I assumed SRA was like that everywhere but I guess there’s probably a lot of variation depending on where you’re at.
