Sunday night saw new scenes of unrest, after Netanyahu fired Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, who became the first member of the ruling Likud Party to speak out against the proposed changes.

Critical support. The defense minister opposed these reforms only because they are so unpopular people are refusing to join the army reserves when summoned, which threatens Israel's ability to kill Palestinians.

Hope the Palestinians opportunities can exploit the chaos to weaken the occupation.

    If only the workers of Peru, France, Germany, and Israel could coordinate toward a common goal, and workers in other countries would join them. Especially if USian workers got off their asses. If only!

    I have a sneaking suspicion that the response by the neoliberal state in both Israel and Germany will be to ratchet up attacks on labor leadership. I wonder how long until Israel and Germany implement Right To Work laws...
