Suffering from the classic techbro trope of thinking she's an expert on everything because she's an expert on one thing

Not surprised she's a lib. Although we all can benefit from more Commie scientists (sorry, Lysenko).

That being said, I appreciate her weekly science news stuff and no-nonsense physics videos. For people with technical backgrounds, she's better than similar science channels out there (except PBS Spacetime, my beloved).

On another note, she turned so clickbaity recently. What's with YouTube and those weird thumbnail face expressions?? I see it everywhere and it's so greasy-looking.

Something about the YouTube algorithm pushing videos with that type of thumbnail so now every video has a thumbnail of someone making a funny face to drive viewership.

Would love to see a photo of a room filled with the people whom these faces work on.

wow the arrogant physicist is arrogant? although I think it's fascinating that she's finds herself such an outsider because she thinks there's so many problems in the field of physics and that physicists have lost their way but she hasn't considered if our economic system is just as bunk...

She's approaching economics at face value. The dance thing that techbros do.

Like looking at currency as an exchange medium and not a historical construct.

right it's just interesting that she doesn't approach her own field, physics, at face value but will do the same for others lol

Agreed, shows that you can't just rely on a single field of understanding to get everything

Another mark on the list of physicists huffing their egos too hard and talking about things they're not an expert in.

Though it's not new. She's been dipping into the transphobia brainworms recently.

falling into the classic blunder of being an expert in one particular field and assuming that you know fucking anything about an unrelated field
