Despite the lib-left flared kids agreeing with OP there is no way high schoolers are actually taught all those academic theories, right? I assume the fact that racism was bad was implied during discussion of To Kill a Mockingbird and the 4chan kid was like "the communist teacher is pushing Cultural Marxism onto me!"

Fucking snowflakes are just making things up to be offended by. Nobody ever taught me marx in highschool or college for that matter.

in english class we're currently reading One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest and we had a class-wide "socratic seminar" about the themes of the book and it was the most liberal thing i have ever seen. someone unironically said the mental institution represented Soviet Russia and Nurse Ratched was stalin

Ok, now imagine an entire class like that for 4 semesters and that was what part of my college experience was. College is not for smart people, just wealthy people's children.

Absolutely not. I went through 12 years of SF Bay Area "liberal" public school and I didn't ever even hear the word "Marxism." And if I did it was so small of a blip of a topic it likely only covered the fall of the soviet union.

I learned all about communism/Marx from my russian immigrant friend in highschool, we use to talk about it a lot, but never can I recall shit like that even being spoken about in class

most i was taught about was how "communism when the teacher averages out the class's grades after a test". anyone who says their taught critical race theory in high school is a fucking liar, only time you hear about that shit is when you take like sociology and actual queer studies classes in college

The only time we were taught Marxist lens was in literature class which was seperate from the regular English class.

We didn’t even touch on Marx much during our study of the Russian Revolution.

Maybe? Do they actually teach stuff in suburban schools with funding?

Only way it'd happen is if a teacher went way out of their way to teach that stuff in addition to a normal curriculum.

It always comes down to material conditions. Fascists just blame the wrong people.

Edit: Holy shit that subreddit is infested.

Right wing humor is always just getting really mad at minorities for existing and women for not being chattel property, and then just getting angrier and angrier and completely forgetting to ever add a punchline.

the right has had decades of those t-shirts with a huge list of "things I'm proud of that I was told the left hates"

Odds are decent this was just made by a grown-ass adult nazi, but there's parts of this that probably aren't that uncommon among white kids who've never had any leftist ideas properly explained to them, whose lives and/or prospects for a dignified life credibly suck. Dunks are fun, but remember to seize opportunities to explain and persuade when you see someone who may just have an incomplete picture and misdirected anger that comes from the genuine frustration and humiliation of seeking any kind of aid under neoliberal capitalism.

So for English he had to study recognised forms of literary criticism that for once aren't entrenched in the history of straight white males and that's why he's a Nazi

Bonus points for "I couldn't afford college unless i'd live on the street, but i'm middle class and don't want to hear about marxism"

Funny how these marxists he is whining about want him to be able to go to college for free, so he wouldn't have to rely on scholarships.

Literally shooting himself in the foot by being reactionary lol

All those posts read to me as "I normally hate blacks and trans, but when my high school teacher is mean I almost say it out loud."
