Don't be silly, it's not like capitalists have ever cut corners that resulted in horrible consequences before

I will get it as soon as I can. I'm pretty at risk and working an essential job. I don't trust the government or the pharmaceutical companies, and the vaccine might fuck me up, but it's only a matter of time until COVID does anyway, and I've always preferred to be pro-active in destroying my life

yes yes yes, unless you're a member of the already designated groups that might have problems, you better fucking take it if its available.

fucking ridiculous how much traction anti-vax has gotten on this site (with commisserate "im not antivax buuut") everything you assholes put in your body is fucked over by capitalism, you dont get to be all picky when you're playing with other folks' lives

Yeah I used to think like the bottom paragraph for a bit but now I'm like eh, water in America is probably worse off than any vaccine they could ever give us anyways so who cares. Also the pros outweigh the cons ig just seeing if it works.

A rushed vaccine skipping regular FDA approvals by a company whose primary interest is being first to market to make more money? And they couldn't even get it to be stable above negative 70 Celsius? That's extra levels of fucked. I'll wait a week or two to see. I stay inside most of the time anyway.

I'd be at the fuckin socially distanced midnight release for the vaccine if there were one.

It is in capital's short-term interest to make an effective vaccine to the Coronavirus. The bourgeoisie wants things to go "back to normal," and an actually effective vaccine is something that they think will make it happen.

I don't think the bourgeoisie are always in lockstep. The bourgeoisie who are in charge of these pharma companies do very much have an interest in putting out a ineffective vaccine because being first to market is vital for profits.

No because they have shown little to no evidence whatsoever about side effects. I have multiple pre-existing medical conditions with the biggest one being a heart condition. I've narrowly avoided open heart surgery once already and that was scary enough that I've tried to avoid it ever since. I'm not taking something that I am going to have to worry about worsening my condition and having side effects down the road.

This entire vaccine deal is a complete shit show. Pfizer CEO sold his stocks and made billions of dollars after the announcement came. This vaccine has been rushed, and it was more of a gold rush for big pharma corporations to cash in. The only guarantee is that these corporations are making money. They've went through little testing and pushed this at such a fast rate, no one has any idea how the side effects are going to be. My guess is that there will be bad side effects that will derail the entire thing and make few people trust it. Meanwhile, it will become the next culture war thing in the US with liberals declaring anyone who don't trust it to be anti-vax and stupid.

Sure, maybe. I'm pretty sure we'll just be copying whatever Germany says is safe, and I'm relatively confident in Germany's healthcare system.

Hm I looked into it and it appears my country did not use Pandemrix, in contrast to Germany. In that case I feel more confident in my own healthcare system and hope we continue to not always follow Germany re vaccines.

I probably cant lol. It's gonna be expensive as fuck and it's basically gonna be "watch the bourgeois thrive while the proles die"
