They managed to get people to hype themselves up for a game for literally 8 years and then it was a flaming pile of dogshit that couldn't run on anything and everyone is soooooo mad and they like want to kill themselves because the real dystopia is the disappointment of Cyberpunk 2077

I couldn't run this shit if it actually ran on the shit they said it would run on so I have no stake in this but I think Cyberpunk 2077 is more performance art than video game. Thank you for coming to my Ted talk

This cycle has been happening since the early 2000's, one studio makes a successful game, next game gets hyped to high heaven, rabid "gamers" start policing forums and popular discourse about this next title. The studios publisher seizes on the hype and starts fanning the flames. At the end people talk about this next game as something truly revolutionary, never seen before etc etc.

Then the game releases, it's usually buggy, and doesn't live up to expectations (like who could). Endless internet drama ensues. This is the reason why i've stopped paying attention to "AAA" titles, it gets old after a while.

Whats more cyberpunk than creating a hollow experience based on the asthetics of a left-wing genre with none of the substance? Buy it on the PS4 for a realistic experience of corporate content that doesnt work properly on old tech! I love living in the future

I've only logged 6 hours in the game so far but I dunno I'm having a blast. It's definitely buggy and there are some issues with it but it's a good game (if your computer can run it of course)

It is. From they way it was developed and produced, to publisher lies, to platforms now actively trying to avoid processing refunds, Cyberpunk 2077 is truly a game about people getting fucked by corporations.
