HSBC is totally not evil you guys.
How tf do you spend $670,000,000 on a steel dildo
architecture is typically impersonal and ugly, with no regard for townscape harmony
basically all McMansions
Literally all I had to do for a quote was lookup soviet brutalism and instantly I found an article that explains why brutalism bad
Yeah.
Also while Soviet states made compromises in mass produced building aesthetics in order to house as many as possible, they very much did care about balance and harmony in residential areas.
Heaps of greenery, child safe, easy walking, local shops and utilities, everything within 500m, easy mass transit to work and the central entertaiment districts.
And in summer or spring that makes a Soviet block of flats look quite beautiful. But every western picture shows them in like Late February, surrounded by dead trees and mud. Everywhere looks shit in late European winter
In my area they just ploughed down a bunch of beautiful farms with lots of fertile land and built a ton of grey, identical boxes. it's an ugly renting complex now.
A bank set up by the Br*ts to launder opium money is evil? Nooooo waaaaaayyyy.
It would be cool if it was a lego playset lmao. Like I can tell what they're going for but its too much. Just my opinion though
Lost me at "this is one of the most spectacular examples"
All my homies hate Foster + Partners. It’s just a shitty Lloyds building rip-off.
Lol this is the same guy who made the actual dildo-shaped tower in London
