The best take I saw on this from a lib is that Zelenskyy was “jet-lagged” and “sleepy” and didn’t know what they were clapping for🤣. I just imagine a disappointed teacher waking him up by whacking a ruler on his desk and saying some snide remark like “Get enough sleep, Mr. Zelenskyy?”

I get it now. There was a Putin's propagandist that started clapping and all the people were very sleepy. I knew it can be logically explained, no need for drama, people.

Not just that, the Putin propagandist also paid the neighbours of all the members of parliament to hold big loud parties the night before, keeping them all up late and preventing them from getting enough sleep!

If I were Zelenskyy and not a nazi, I would be pissed that I got blindsided and associated with this. I haven't seen him make any public statements apologizing or asking Canada for an apology oddly

I guess he is getting tons of money from them, so he can't push back too much - plus he's got a thick skin for this stuff now, after having a million photos of him around nazi-emblem wearing troops

Zelensky wasn't blindsided by this, he knows enough about ukrainian nazis as he deals with them literally every single day. The man knew 100% that he was clapping for a nazi and he knows that apologising or saying otherwise would be bad for him politically in Ukraine which is why he has not and will not.
