Yes! His other takedown where he hacks it into "working" is also great. The amount of overengineering put into what is just a fancy press is absurd. No wonder it costs so much.

I’ve heard of this thing a long time ago, when I watched a review of terrible products. I can’t believe I remember it lmao. This thing was terrible because it’s just bagged juice, rendering the actual machine useless (it just squeezes the bag). Furthermore, you are forced to buy their brand of juice bags, so the prices of juice bags are really high.
The AvE breakdown video is excellent. He's a veteran mechanical engineer and pointed out all the ways it was stupidly over-engineered. At the price point they sold it for they were losing at least a few hundred dollars because they clearly took a first draft design to squeezing and didn't bother to optimize the design at all, just went for more and more over the top engineering.
My refrigerator, my toaster, my microwave, my oven... It's great! I love to get a pop-up notification on my iPhone telling me my food is done microwaving, there's no humanly possible way to alert my to this fact otherwise.
Someone pointed out that due to the "venture capital" model, they were actually trying to make a juicer that crushes fruit, which would be cool, but after millions of dollars they couldn't do it. So they did this fucking bag thing to try to avoid total collapse.
The 'Juicero', a failed startup from 2017 that was basically a juicer, but it could only 'juice' pre-fabricated proprietary packets from the Juicero company. If I remember correctly, the thing had to be connected to the internet to even work at all, and the 'pressing' wasn't any better than you could do with your own two hands. On top of that it cost like 400 dollars at its cheapest.
If I recall, it's exorbitant price was largely due to the fact that almost every part in it was extremely sturdy and even fucking machined, which made the thing really heavy and extremely durable, but still doesn't change the fact that it was utterly useless
