EDIT: alleged shooter (per APD press conference just now) is this guy, a cop and alleged pedo:

EDIT2: he has in effect got away, they are “transitioning to a fugitive search.” Also a reporter asked about him being ex-cop, and the APD Chief spat out this amazing sentence: “my understanding is that this individual was at one time a Travis County deputy.”
