Lol Brendan apologizing that the season one soundtrack was sloppy. He probably invites people to his spotless house and keeps apologizing for the mess

    Hell yeah dude

I'm not sure if Brendan was just wasted on Chapo or just such a good producer that it sounds like it's not edited, but Blowback is so well produced for a left podcast. The intro is great.

The 500 episode anniversary made a mention that a typical Chapo episode has hundreds of seemless cuts. I guess it is notable the lack of filler words and how well it flows typically despite it being improvised. But yeah, this has the feel of like those podcasts that places like MSNBC do (which suck content wise but have a higher production value feeling), who knew all you needed is a talented producer.

Yeah, I mean compare Chapo to, say, WTYP and the difference in the level of polish becomes pretty apparent.

The lack of polish is what I pay for. I would say I also pay for the lack of Polish but they recently reneged on that front.

If you are listening on mobile, I started using those RSS feeds, including for Blowback. Definitely more enjoyable than what I was doing before going back and forth between multiple apps (also Stitcher sucks). The RSS feed has the premium episodes. I'm using Podcast Addict on Android and enjoy it.

I dunno why the episode is called The Jupiter Menace. Maybe it’s a reference to the Jupiter ballistic missile system installed in Turkey, which USA agreed to remove after the Cuban missile crisis?
