Welcome back. Brendan and Noah reveal this season’s subject, explore the USA’s unrelenting Cuba mania, and introduce the cast of characters. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
I'm not sure if Brendan was just wasted on Chapo or just such a good producer that it sounds like it's not edited, but Blowback is so well produced for a left podcast. The intro is great.
The 500 episode anniversary made a mention that a typical Chapo episode has hundreds of seemless cuts. I guess it is notable the lack of filler words and how well it flows typically despite it being improvised. But yeah, this has the feel of like those podcasts that places like MSNBC do (which suck content wise but have a higher production value feeling), who knew all you needed is a talented producer.
Hell yeah dude

Yeah, I mean compare Chapo to, say, WTYP and the difference in the level of polish becomes pretty apparent.
The lack of polish is what I pay for. I would say I also pay for the lack of Polish but they recently reneged on that front.

I think it's supposed to be jarring. It works, IMO.
