Do latinos in the US talk like that? In english with an spanish noun every once in a while? I've always wondered that, is it genuine or is it showrunners saying "yep, this character is hispanic"?
I've only heard gusanos talk like that, it's annoying. I've heard Latinos say a word in spanish if they can't figure it out in english and only among other bilinguals.
Offtopic but, regarding the title:

To me it's "person pretending to pass as native spanish speaker but failing"
