Benito Mussolini once defined his politics as “organized and centralized authoritarian democracy based on nation.” More recently, I could have sworn that I saw a Romanian neofascist on Reddit seriously say that the Kingdom of Italy was fascist until the March of Rome in 1922. Such incoherent babbling is hardly alien to either fascists or neofascists.
