OK, here's the deal. I have a cousin who is, like, a somewhat rich kid and he hands out with SUPER rich kids from his school. One of these kids lives in the richest part of Athens. He wanted to upload a video on Tiktok or insta or whatever where the point was "no one messes with [insert Greek failson name]" and to make that point apparently he needed a romani kid he somehow knew who was apparently involved into some kind of drug trading gang or whatever? You know the deal, rich kid meets minority gangster, thinks he is tough. Anyways, he invited this kid in a party for the SOLE purpose of taking vids and photos with him to convince other rich failsons he is tough.

Except the gangster kid brought a bunch of his gangster friends with at the party. About 17 to be precise. And they just started unloading their Kalashnikovs into the sky because they could, at the richest and most "secure" suburb of the city, while also doing a bunch of coke. Rich failson and his younger brother were naturally kind of startled but that wasn't the end of it because his friend's gangster buddies proceeded to steal a bunch of pillows and lamps and other seemingly expensive stuff they found again because they could and because of course he couldn't do anything about it.

In the end he ended up uploading the vids anyways. HE UPLOADED A BUNCH OF VIDS AND PICS WITH CAPTIONS ALONG THE LINES OF "DON'T FUCK WITH [X]" EVEN THOUGH THE PEOPLE HE TOOK THE PICS WITH LITERALLY FUCKED WITH HIM AND HIS BOUGIE ASS COULDN'T DO SHIT ABOUT IT AHAHAHAHAHA HOW IS THIS EVEN REAL

Also yes, it was real. I saw vids and photos. I wouldn't believe it otherwise. It's too comical.

EDIT: Sooo since most people here are American, the Kalashnikov thing may not strike you as particularly insane, however in Greece they're very, very illegal.

How do you sleep after souvlaki? Usually I can only do that if I'm drunk as fuck, which tbh is common since 9/10 times when you're drunk you end up eating souvlaki. Also 5/10 times when you're not drunk.

      I'm drunk now btw

Hmm, I usually find it kinda hard to sleep right after because usually I'm a bit too heavy. Though usually I eat more than one so maybe that's it.

        Souvlaki saved the country.

Souvalki is fast, it is cheap, it is tasty, it can almost instantly make your hunger go away, and while not healthy it is far healthier than a horrible McDonald's burger. Did I mention it is cheap? 2.5 euros to make you full. The crisis would be worse without it.

It's insanely popular. It's no exaggeration that it drives down living costs lol

That's hella based. :rat-salute: to souvlaki. Amerikkkans could take a lesson or twelve from that.

Falafel (which comes from the middle east) is based too and vegetarian (or even vegan). I guess tacos and burritos are kinda similar and popular in the US. But yeah, souvlaki is ubiquitous here and it is good because it's what you eat when you don't have time to cook and don't have time or money for anything else either, and it just makes most fast food chains mostly redundant because no one wants to pay slightly more to eat something terrible at McDonald's. These sorts of foods are great because they have vegetables, they have carbs, and they have protein, all in one very cheap wrap that you can eat anywhere. However, it seems like souvlaki is only as cheap as it is here, which is a shame. Like, some of my friends in the UK linked me to some places there which sell souvlaki and it is just wayyy overpriced. It may just be that wages are higher, idk, but 5+ euros for one souvlaki is just insane to me. I remember when people protested because it went to 2.5 from around 2-2.20 euros.

Showing up to a party in an upper class area with rifles and firing them into the air is viewed as insane even in America.

I mean the cops in Greece don't show up for shit unless they can gang up on some immigrant or protesters lol

Like, some robbers broke into the house of some old friend of my dad, he called the police and they showed up like an hour later shaking like leaves. They almost arrested him too because of how confused and scared they were so he just convinced them he was the person who called them and told them it's all fine so they just left. Also yeah it was a "nice" neihgbourhood so all the more reason not to bother.

Also the people around probably thought it was fireworks or whatever because no one here really knows what guns sound like.

This guy can only have so many cousins which could be narrowed further by cross referencing other information on your profile.

          1. I said my cousin knows him, I'm not his cousin. I don't even know him personally.

This guy can only have so many cousins

          Clearly you aren't Greek.

I mean if that is what you wanna take out of this whatever? That they did this doesn't have to do with he fact they were romani (it had more to do with the fact they were gangsters, also from the vids etc I'm pretty sure a lot of them weren't romani) but the fact that he was invited in the first place did have to do with the fact he is romani (also with the fact he was a gangster) because the dude thought it would look cool on Tiktok or whatever. I do not really understand what the rest of the post is about, they didn't really attack anyone, they just partied way too hard for the area and then stole some stuff because they suddenly found themselves in an incredibly rich house. If that is even what you mean, I am not sure what you are saying.
