Our living room flooded last night from the heavy rains. Carpet's wet thankfully I had the foresight to unplug shit like the tv and lamps and get the wires up off the floor. It's only water but it's still disheartening. This whole week is supposed to rain pretty bad and of course my dad refuses to fix this problem because my mom and I don't work. We've been mulling over just taking money out of the joint bank account and hiring a contractor to come in and do a quick fix on the problem anyway. It very well could be a crack or something in he foundation in which I'd have no clue what to do and it sounds expensive.

edit: So the basement's flooded too and it looks like it knocked out the hot water heater. Awesome! And of course my dad doesn't care so it looks like that won't get fixed either.
