                I think it's more of the Israeli flag and the identity of the average Jew are linked to the same symbol. So if you use that symbol to try to criticize Israel you come dangerously close to criticizing the identity of the average Jew.

                  All of that is definitely understandable but it sure is whack that’s the situation bc zionists already try to frame every criticism of Israel as being anti Semitic. I’m sure they knew exactly what they were doing with the flag tho it obv makes sense they’d use the symbol anyway, even outside of opportunistic strategic blocking of criticism, but it’s a win-win for them

                    You can still criticize Israel, just don't use the flag to do so. Having the star of David on the Israeli flag doesn't stop criticism.
