Sorry. I wasn't really sure where to put this. It's just kinda stunning to find this in the wild.

Libs and reactionaries will continue to use the implication of anti-semitism as a weapon against the left as it is one area they think they can show as the left being hypocritical (unfortunately there are some blurred lines and issues with actual anti-semites, though still a lot less than in chud or lib circles) . When Jewish people like yourself stand up against that narrative it makes their criticisms less effective so they will do everything they can to discredit you. They are happy to be anti-semitic and insult you and anyone else standing against their narrative as long as it lets them get a jab in at the left and it sucks that they have been allowed to get away with this.

Try not take any of it to heart, fuck those people, they don't get to decide who is and isn't a good Jewish person just because they like one particular side of the community.

I am so proud to be Jewish. I am not a nationalist of any sort. There’s no contradiction between these statements, but reactionary shitheads try constantly to manufacture one. I am so tired.

It's not hard to understand when you get a full grasp of the history of a very diverse and disparate people. In the same way this community loves to play up Islam, there's plenty to enjoy about the Jewish faith, the Jewish culture, and the Jewish people.

Pretty sure there are multiple hasbara accounts on Reddit.

I've found more than a few which have been posting about Israel every day for years. And they always follow the playbook of accusing anyone who is critical of Israeli abuses in Palestine and the occupied territories, or anyone who criticizes any part of the Zionist project of antisemitism.

Running into one of those accounts was the first time I encountered "shills" in the wild.

Oh I got a new line "When Israel bombs Palestine it immediately is followed by a spike of support for Hamas. It doesn't work"

I've learned from r/CTH to do that every time i'm arguing with chuds and libs, and it never disappoints. There's almost always something that you can use against them. And if there isn't, you're avoiding to post an elaborate rant at a harmless dude you just misunderstood.

I used to post on /r/Libertarian and had people try this on me. Some would come back and say "This person posts on CHAPO! Hate Him!" Others would come back and say "Hey, you're legit a decent person I did not expect this". It was always interesting to see how folks reacted.

When your argument is so well-reasoned and rooted in reality that you have to gatekeep an entire religion or the whole thing falls apart.
