I had the chance to meet some hawaiian independence folk at a conference. It was cool because i was there as a rep for my rez, and we had the chance to talk about the similarities in our struggle against settler nationalism, and i got a free copy of A Nation Rising. Went out drinking with them later on with the rest of my group, and i don't think i've been called brother by so many people at once. Also, the bartender looked frightened when he saw 7 dudes walk in, with me being the lightest at 220lbs lol.
