Hey, she's had a rough few years. Her whole book was based on a false premise and she didn't figure it out until she was promoting it on the radio. https://www.thecut.com/2019/05/naomi-wolf-interview-book-error-bbc-interview.html

When she went on BBC radio on Thursday, Wolf, the author of Vagina and the forthcoming Outrages: Sex, Censorship, and the Criminalization of Love, probably expected to discuss the historical revelations she’d uncovered her book. But during the interview, broadcaster Matthew Sweet read to Wolf the definition of “death recorded,” a 19th-century English legal term. “Death recorded” means that a convict was pardoned for his crimes rather than given the death sentence.

Wolf thought the term meant execution.

      :yikes:

Not sure if this is going to increase or decrease people yelling at Naomi Klein on Twitter whenever they're mad at Naomi Wolf.

Did something happen to her brain recently? I vaguely recall her writing for The Nation and not thinking she was bad. Her vax takes are on that Alex Jones level.

Naomi Wolf's slide from feminist, Democratic Party icon to the 'conspiracist whirlpool'

"I find her transition horrifying," says Boycott, a founding editor of ground-breaking feminist magazine Spare Rib and former editor of British Esquire and several national newspapers. "The moment she lost her grip on the intelligentsia because of a lazy error she had to find a new world to fit into where facts don't matter and that's the world she has gone to. Of course, she would become a superstar within it."

The inclusion of 5g here is really throwing me. that's only been a big things for like 2 years. The dang kids haven't been playing outside for like 30 years.

It's not even everywhere yet! I barely get it where I live despite having a phone that supports it, and I took a trip north last week to a richer city and they didn't have it at all.

Yeah. I live right outside a big city and go to college in a medium city, and have yet to have really seen 5g.
