Can't stop listening to this album. Top tracks for me are Broken Voice Box + Don't Really Think back to back. Music is both easier and harder to find than ever before; anyone have recs of current bands that sound like this. No metal/no guitar solo bands plz

Oh, here's a grind band I did a few years back. Also did the artwork. No breakdowns and the slowest we get is a fast dbeat a couple times.

It's decent. I worked for a catering place that made bowls and sandwiches and stuff for various stores and they got supplied from there. Their cheese is fantastic but a few of the sliced meat options leave a bit to be desired mostly by flavor choice, like pineapple ham is fine, but where's the just ham? We didn't fry the bacon for our sandwiches so maybe that affected my opinion on that one. They're also a takeout place that about two or three types of meal at once and changes it up every week and those are mind blowing. We're actually really spoiled for vegan options here.

It's a pretty good time. Halifax has an amazing DIY punk scene. We're close to out and out owning a venue/community center as a collective. It's got shows, screen printing shop, community fridge/kitchen, jam space, recording studio, computer and printer access. Covid has slowed shit down but the punks have good politics and are pretty on the ball here. Also Janick from After the Bombs and running Varning and booking everything cool in Montreal loves us and sends us touring bands when she can.

Here's my roommate's and best friend's (two different people) band Desperate Times. They've got a split Ep coming out with a Mexican band they toured with who's name escapes me right now.

Muro from Colombia will blow your damn mind. Flower from NYC are great. Dogma are a fantastic anarcho punk band (they sound like Dirt). Fragment are a great crasher crust band also from my town. Fatum from Russia is doing some really good Stenchcore. There's a lot of good bands right now. Can't think of much in regards to thrash/powerviolence but that's not my center of attention either

All three do vocals. Their bass player/female singer is moving up north soon, they've got a replacement already but she may sound a bit different. The band they're doing the split with is called Cotard.

Desperate Times has one new track on this comp for Myanmar that came out a bit back as well. Doom and some other pretty huge bands
