Yeah, I genuinely shudder to think what state the UK is gonna be in by Winter, and most disturbingly I feel like the media is rapidly going to start manufacturing consent to make anyone still concerned about Covid seem like an anti social dissenter who just hates people and doesn't want anything to 'get back to normal'. Also the Government is really pushing for people to stop wearing masks for some fucking reason.
Masks remind people that there is still a massive pandemic going on despite the alternative reality they're trying to invent.

They publish a lot of stuff that “owns” the libs and I think some of that gets reposted uncritically here. The Hunter Biden stuff has been especially bad in that regard

If they aren't making shit up, well the only way that you could know that is if you corroborated it with another source. And if you've done that, then just post the other source.

I do agree that western governments are ready to fumble the covid response again, having migrated from the very mistaken idea of building herd immunity, now they are under the impression that immunological hybridization is the fastest exit from the pandemic. This isn’t actually a new variant (it was identified in December 2020 and likely emerged months prior) and it’s very, very unlikely to be a vaccine escape.
Whether we get a vaccine escape variant (and whether it will be hard to modify existing vaccines to stop it) is anyone’s guess, but there’s nothing in this post that should change your opinion on it.
