    i really don't think it is, but it definitely feels that way sometimes. a lot of people there are allergic to theory and just think china = good; us = bad; so they base their takes around that instead of an ounce of Marxism. that way you get dogshit takes like the sub celebrating that the Chinese justice system sentenced a foreigner drug trafficker to death. like for real guys?

      Makes sense. That kind of go s with what I was saying though: most of the posters are gen z (ostensibly), so even if the average age is more like 18, they don't have the life experience to develop the nuance in their worldview.

      Like, this board largely (and correctly) thinks china = good; us = bad, but the belief is much deeper than merely that, so we can deviate from it where is violates our deeper reasoning.

      It is a good rule of thumb. Yeah they got boomers there and stuff but them not being in a gentrocratic death cult kinda minimizes the number of times shit like that comes up.
