To be honest the images are pretty cool, and to get a couple million people out to do this is quite impressive actually. However, I can only find coverage of this that describes this as people rebelling against authoritarian evil communist Soviets and yearning for the freedom that democracy could provide.

I understand this was close to the fall of the USSR, so surely it must have been part of the Western game of manufacturing destruction of communism, but who really organized this, and what were they really protesting against?

      I assume it must be western propaganda, but to coordinate millions of people, there must have been discontent that was leveraged by the west. I guess I'm wondering what the situation in the Baltics was to allow this, or was the leftover nazi power in the baltics widespread enough even 40 years after the war to make this happen?
