I think putting patches and scrap metal is enough of a look. You wanna scuff it up, go tackle a proud boy with it on. It's a battle jacket. Not a... non-battle jacket.

Joking aside what kina look you want from it? You could dry brush a little flat brown paint to give it a patina, but I dunno if that is the goal

Distress will happen with use. Artificial distress for the sake of appearance is not my jam.
