It's not even that good. Biden's plan is a "carbon neutral energy sector by 2035."

Carbon neutral is often bullshit lib speak for hoping that ExxonMobil develops carbon capture technology. Even without that, there are ways to offset carbon output on the balance sheet that are thrown into the regulatory structure. Also this doesn't address cars or the military, some of the largest carbon producers.

I thought the scientific concensus was that we're fucked no matter what?

Basically, yeah. If we started today and changed the economy overnight and had a massive scale down in production, we could mitigate a lot of the worst effects but the next 100 years or so would suck.

Yeah, correct response to the crisis is "global wartime command economy, rationing, and zero carbon by 2025, followed by 50 years of using moat of our energy budget on CO2 scrubbing.

Anything less and the gigadeaths start up.

Fifteen years, so a pair of two term democrats in a row, who hold control of both houses during most of that time, something that hasn't been seen since the Instituted term limits on presidents. Very cool very good.
