      A personal favorite of mine is either finding or coming up with a list of buzzwords you think they'll be looking for and adding it on the margins of your resume in tiny font that's the same color as the background so the automated systems see it and push your resume to the front of the queue.

      I’m not some experts since I’ve only ever gotten a few interviews and job offers in my life but I can’t imagine there’s much repercussion to it. Obviously, don’t say that you graduated from Harvard with a PhD and served as CEO of Apple but if you worked at Mario’s Pizzeria as a cashier go ham and say you were the lead civil engineer and head of media operations.

      Joshua Fluke is a great youtuber who criticises corporate/linkedin culture and he has some good content on this.

      Basically, his main advice is to pretend you still work at your most recent place of employment, allow employers to contact references without hesitation, and when they ask for contact details give your friends phone # and coach him on what to say.
