    Depends on whether he can actually leverage his voice or not. If they think he's actually useful in pushing back against fighting China then they might be inclined to keep him as a hanger-on.

    This is afterall precisely why they operate the way they do, so that an incentive exists for the foreign bourgeoisie to oppose action against them.
