Yeah it's very common, and often a positive thing. But I still get to laugh at him for it.

I know a couple who have two houses down the road form eachother. I can't imagine a better partnership.

Separate bedrooms are really good for your mental health, everyone needs their own space. They're absolutely necessary if both of you have insomnia.

it's because he's a "traditional man," yet seems to be more separate from his wife than a hen-pecked sitcom husband. Nothing wrong with this in a vacuum, but there's a pattern forming.

My aunt and uncle do this, but they are kind of old and one of them snores and gets up in the middle of the night, idk if they ever slept together for an extended period of time before I was born.

This guy has built an entire career on funelling kids into a pipeline that ends with them wanting to gas him, and in some cases doing a mass shooting at a synagogue. It would actually surprise me if being a Columbus stan wasn't part of his grift.

Ok, we know why we are making fun of it, and its fucking hilarious. But also actually having a separate bedroom for your partner is kinda cool really. We all need some solitude and space every once in a while.

It's fake, but I wouldn't be surprised if this is common among people who can afford a larger home. Like the lack of multi-generational homes in the west is already a departure from how most of the world lives. Wouldn't be shocked if couples with space to spare have separate bedrooms. My parents did as it we had the space and it was cheaper than medical intervention for my dad's snoring, lol. Due to different careers their bedtimes also differ by like 4 hours.
