it's not supposed to be automatic, in fact the opposite - but a lot of nerds have been complaining their computers are automagically upgrading to 11 overnight, even if they don't have the hardware verification turned on in the BIOS that is supposed to be required. I only know this because I've been having graphics card issues and have read a lot of hardware forums in the last couple days.
If you persistantly want to have spyware on your computer, please be reminded that Microsoft has been AUTOMATICALLY UPDATING TO WINDOWS 11
(This can be avoided by updating your registry to bamboozle the 20+ year old operating system)

I heard it from an IT industry friend. Which I guess is as good as him saying it's from his uncle who works at Nintendo. ¯_(ツ)_/¯
