I have a simpler strategy. Anytime anyone says to me "the nazis were socialist" I simply grab their wrist. They reflexively clench their hand into a fist. I, using their own arm as a lever, proceed to smash them in the face with their own fist, repeatedly, while jeering.

It is worth noting that typically that isn't an argument that's made in good faith so the goal is to quickly shut it down rather than engage them to try and change their mind.
Just call them Holocaust deniers. They are trying to absolve the people who are responsible for the Holocaust of responsibility. This is denialism.
