  • I am straight up not having a great time right now, to put it bluntly. The most insufferable, despicable excuses for human beings are crawling out the woodwork after St Elon emboldened them into being twice as evil and insufferable and amplifying them more than ever. The news is even worse.

I need to log the fuck off. I need a total social media and news purge to include the bird site, the lib news I am bombarded with and sadly, even the bear site, if only for a little while. I am actually feeling like I'm staring into the abyss right now, a feeling I've not had for the better part of a year, and it's worrying the shit out of me.

  • mon mothma sucking at congress is the show beating the (largely lib) audience over the head with the message that ‘ELECTORAL POLITICS WILL SOLVE NOTHING’

Completely agree, however the show is still portraying her positively and sympathetically, as if only there were some good old fashioned Rules and Institutional Safeguards she would be able to get her completely ineffectual legislation passed. I need her to pick up a gun and shoot someone in the face. To the character's credit, eventually she does, but holy shit this will completely go over the audience's head in the meantime

  • Andor please stop trying to make me empathize with Mon Mothma -- she's literally Space Nancy Pelosi and about as canonically effectual, I couldn't give any less of a fuck please I don't need to see her suck at everything and being a lib while still being presented in a positive light I see enough useless libs in congress every fucking day I don't need to see them in fiction as well

  • The sad thing is that given a Labour victory is extremely likely, purely because the tories have been this criminally incompetent enough to harm their own base, that Starmerism will be touted as a winning tactic and thus inform the policies and strategies of the Labour party in the future for the next 20-30 years. I actually welcome nuclear hellfire at this point and would urge Eternal President Xi to kindly spare a warhead or three for the UK :xi-plz: The Labour leadership is now irredeemably and irrevocably tainted to such a point that no amount of internal pressure or reform will ever change them, short of an upstart third party forcing them into irrelevance. Already the seeds of attracting the "moderate" tory base to Labour is being set in motion, and I hold no optimism for England's future going forward short of revolution.
