Yeah, I mean, I already lost count, are we in the 4th wave? 5th? All I know is that I have seen this same cycle at least 3 times:

"pandemic's almost over, guys! we'll get through this" -> "we're good, throw your masks in the bin and touch strangers' faces!" -> "oh, whoops, nevermind, this is looking pretty ugly again"-> "pandemic's almost over, guys! we'll get through this!"

except that now with omicron they are trying to pretend it's still the "touch strangers' faces" phase
