Casual reminder that tetris owns. Doesn't really matter the version. I haven't even played that one yet but I might. I tend to like the classic versions better.

tetris effect fuckin rocks, 10/10 aesthetic

It has a surprisingly great co-op mode too if you can scrounge up two other people to tetris with you

It even got some ARS tetris nerds to admit that it is a damn good implementation of Guideline tetris.

If none of those words mean anything to you you are better off

loved the original soviet version that i played. family had some sort of weak ass computer that could play it from the 80s

playing it on some janky soviet computer with a floppy disk heightens the experience lmfao

Yeahhh! that's part of the reason the NES version will prob always be my favorite. I think it was one of the last ones to heavily feature soviet music and art.

Tetsuya Mizuguchi is an absolute treasure and TE was a masterpiece (along with Rez, Lumines). His band Genki Rockets also has some real jams.

The expansion also had a pretty good trailer: https://youtu.be/VdBjK4CFAks. That guy at the beginning is Alexey Pajitnov, the creator of the game, which is pretty sick.

edit: also dan ryckert for some reason lol

James Chen is in that one and it gets me every time. I love him so much.
