    I don't understand. If demand for chips is so high, why don't South Korea and Taiwan simply manufacture more of them?

      the supply chain is incredibly complex and a delay in one part collapses the entire thing

      they clearly didn't plan for supply chain failures so they literally can't produce them faster, and the large facilities recently announced won't be done for years
