I am kind of short on time but I wanted to bring up the fact that the “two wolves” meme is racist. Apparently it was a story invented by Billy Graham, a white person. Pretending to be / mocking / making up stories of being Indigenous is v racist and idealogically white supremacist.
Anyway, Indigenous folks on twitter will say this, I found a post that will corroborate what I’m saying, citing Indigenous voices, but unfortunately the cited person had to delete the tweet due to harassment : https://mobile.twitter.com/endlessyarning/status/1264036865201455104
I may write a post later with better links, but plz do look into it if you are skeptical, I assure you that it’s racist.
E - here is an Indigenous perspective that goes much more in depth about the origins of the “two wolves” and more : https://apihtawikosisan.com/2012/02/check-the-tag-on-that-indian-story/
Idk i think its pretty disgusting honestly. The way it is normalized even in leftist spaces — just out of pure ignorance or “its okay bc its funny.” Idk if anyone spoke up about it, but I’m glad I did.
There are plenty of other ways we can make the same point without doing settler tropes of indigenous culture. Just because people are going to keep doing it doesn't make it cool and good. "Well, it's acceptable on Reddit" isn't a good justification.

Yeah. You make a good point. It's probably time to retire this meme.

Oh shit. Good to know. Changed, thanks
isn't the meme rather removed from the origins though?
If Indigenous people say it’s racist u should believe them. Its not up to you to decide.
