There’s a lot of times I don’t have cash on my person and wonder if there’s something else I could do to help.
I give whatever loose bills I manage to have on me when I'm out doing errands.
Sometimes I buy pizza and offer slices to people camped on the sidewalk as I go. As long as they don't mistake me for some fundie trying to trick them into a church, that tends to go well.
If you have a windfall, consider new socks or even new shoes. Those go a long way.
