Before having this painting explained to me i was one of those people who didn’t “get modern art,” and I remember the instructor showing us how the work captured motion within the medium of a painting, and I thought the idea of something static depicting a forward moving in time was really cool, it opened up a new world of appreciation of art for me so it always sticks with me.
