Well yeah, because they can't do it and most of us can. and they don't wanna study history because it's either too boring for them because they don't actually care about politics that deeply, or they implicitly know that the United States has been the leading cause of human misery for the last century and they have to cope with that somehow. for some it's spouting idiotic quotes about how "capitalism is the worst system, except from all the other ones". for others it's "well actually invading vietnam was good, because of these particular skull protrusions that mark how they are inferior"
