Ideally we would be building structures that are both beautiful and practical. I don’t really vibe with Soviet brutalism aesthetically but I appreciate the utilitarianism.
I would also like to propose that anyone who has designed or purchased that fucking minimalist modern all white+marble shit goes straight to the gulag.
For large scale structures 20s Soviet constructivism had some nice points. Early Bahaus where they made a point of only using the finest grade materials too
Personally I want an Art Nouveau revival though for residential spaces, its a style that got shut down because it was too expensive for capitalism.
Just a general turn to craftsmanship for dwelling places in areas where we already have enough housing stock.
